I love kids. Under a year old is some of the greatest stages to capture in a child. Donna (Evan's Mom) was visiting Emmett and Boise to see family and friends and wanted some updated photos taken. He was such a cutie! Definitely not a shy one, and those eyes....my goodness he's gunna swoon the girls with those baby blues.

With this heat wave we are having it sure doesn't seem like it should be fall, let alone start thinking ahead to Christmas. I do assure you that it is in fact fall and almost October already and that the Holidays are coming just around the corner. There are only 57 more days til Thanksgiving, 63 more days til Hanukkah, and 87 more days til Christmas. It may seem like alot of days and time, but time sure does seem to go fast these days.

My 2010 Holiday Mini Session were announced a few weeks ago and are booking up quick. Below I reposted the information and now you can see the days and times that are still open. What are Holiday Mini Sessions? Holiday Mini Sessions are a client favorite because each collection is offered at a great discount and are ONLY available during the days and times specified. Mini sessions are short 25 minute sessions designed to capture a few fabulous images for your holiday cards & gifts. They do not include slideshow and one-on-one image proof presentation. Sept. Special being postponed til October - Emmett, Idaho Photographer

9/11 was a very sad day for me this year. I personally don't know anyone that lost their life on the 9/11 attacks but it's still a day of remembering for me. Each year I pray for those lost and their families.

Well this year hit me even harder. My Aunt lost her battle on breast cancer. She was diagnosed over 10 years ago and immediately chose to fight it. She did what she had to do and rocked the battle for many years.  There are two people that I Relay for (American Cancer Society Relay For Life) and Melanie was one (my Dad is the other). Aunt Melanie gave me inspiration each and every time I saw her and I admired her fight to live. As you read, her fight was cut short. So I will be traveling to California to be with family and to attend her funeral.

You're probably thinking that I'm crazy for even mentioning the holidays already; especially considering the incredible hot weather we've been having lately. Maybe I am a little crazy (hey, at least I admit it LOL), but the holiday season will be here faster than you know it and NOW is the time to start thinking about your holiday portraits. Frequently Asked Questions:

How does a mini session differ from a regular portrait session?

Mini sessions are 25 minute sessions at a predetermined location and offered on a limited number of specific dates throughout the year. Regular portrait sessions are 1-2 hours, at any location of the client’s choice, and offered at any available time throughout the year.

How do I reserve a session?

Sessions are reserved on a first come, first serve basis. Please contact me to check availability and how to secure your date! A non-refundable deposit of $75 is required to reserve your session date. This deposit includes payment for the Candy Cane Collection. You may upgrade to one of the other collections at the time you order. All mini sessions are subject to Idaho’s 6% sales tax.

What if it rains or the weather is bad on the day of the mini session?

If the weather is bad, we will reschedule for a date as soon as possible after the session date that is agreeable by both parties.

What size are gift prints?

Gift Prints are available in your choice of: 8×10, 5×7, or 4×6.

What are brag books?

Brag Books are accordion style magnetized books showcasing a few of your favorite images from your session. They are the perfect size as a stocking stuffer and fit nicely in a purse. Perfect for showing off to friends and family or on your desk at work.

Tell me more about the holiday cards offered.

I offer an array of pre-designed holiday cards (that are customizable). Holiday cards are available in lustre or glossy. Holiday cards are perfect sized 5x7 so not only do they go to your family and friends as a card, they can be framed and double as a gift. All holiday cards come with white envelopes.
